Luke 3:3...baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. 4 As it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be made low, and the crooked shall become straight, and the rough places shall become level ways, 6 and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.’”

You know reading this text before I would have put the end times in this context, but since John was preaching about repentance and forgiveness of sins, I now see that Jesus will make our heart paths straight and our valleys filled... or does it? Question what does vs 6 mean "all flesh" then? I guess around that text it would have to be talking about the heart so it would have to include that correct? all flesh? good question to ask...

I never read this parable with the Pharisees in mind before, it is really interesting to see it in that context now. Knowing Jesus was really speaking to the them and how much He was talking about the sinners and tax-collectors there.

hello sovereign grace church family...
I want to extend a sincere thank you for the potluck. I had a nice time and the food was good too. We are so excited to be here and you all have been super duper kind and loving towards us. We are grateful for your friendships and look forward to building stronger bonds as we worship and serve our mighty God together.
yours truly,

this is the first chance I've had to check out your page. It's really big! I can see that I'll be checking back often. Lots of good reading and the pictures are fun. It may be too late for me to offer, but if you need some help in your office, please let me know. See you tomorrow!

Rick,

I saw Sarah on Friday, at home, PTL. She came home on Thursday and was very happy to be there. She said the doc told her the cancer was completely enclosed in its own little capsule and had not spread to the kidney. She's fine other than minus a kidney. Also, thanks so much for going to visit her. I know it meant alot to her and to those of us who know that you had never met her before.
